We love scape season! Scapes are the early shoots from a hardneck garlic crop, with a taste reminiscent of both chives and garlic. We took fresh scapes from our friends at Deschutes Canyon Garlic, pureed a portion and folded it into Oregon grassfed butter from Larsen's Creamery. Once we made a delicious scape/butter base, we roughly chopped more fresh scapes and added that into the butter and folded in Maldon sea salt. What you get is a garlicky butter with little crunches of salt. It's perfect to melt on top of a steak, tossed into pasta, tucked into a hot potato, or smeared on bread. The possibilities are endless. This seasonal butter is a limited offering and when it's gone, it's gone! Each stick is 2 ounces and comes frozen.
